It is not enough ... simply to surrender oneself brainlessly to love, when it knocks at the door, one must also calculate because of later life, which does sometimes follow.

Lines from the novel which has had me hooked for the last couple of days.. have to admit, I had approached the novel with some trepidition but was bowled over by the naked truth with which she has spun a story about the life of woman from birth to death, the two points connected with what lies inbetween; life.
The stories of the two heroines, is intertwined & told poignantly.
